Awards for All
Lottery grants programme aimed at local communities. Funding is available to projects that enable people to take part in art, sport, heritage and community activities, as well as projects that promote education, the environment and health in the local community. Grants are between £500 and £5,000.

Biffaward
A small grants scheme, established to enable groups to quickly access small grants to improve the quality of life in their community. The aim is to make it easier for small groups to access funding in their communities. The key themes are: wildlife and habitat conservation and creation, improving opportunities for informal education and lifelong learning, and access to sport, culture or recreation.

Bridge House Trust
Main Grants Programmes are in five broad areas: Access for Disabled People; London's Environment; Children and Young People; Older People in the Community; and Strengthening the Voluntary and Community Sectors. Give grants for both running costs and capital costs to registered charities for charitable purposes benefiting Londoners.

Community Champions Fund
Set up to help people who can inspire others to get more involved in renewing their neighbourhoods through participation in community groups. The fund is worth £3m per year with grants to individuals usually up to £2000 and averaging £1250.

Hanson Environment Fund
Offers a small grants and main grants fund. The small grants fund supports projects with a focus on community amenities, and wildlife and habitat conservation. The main grants creation and improvement of parks and public amenities and the creation, restoration and management of areas specifically to safeguard and/or enhance biodiversity.

London Woodland Grants Scheme
Offers grants for sites located within boroughs along the Thames Gateway for projects that are designed to support the needs of trees and woodlands within the urban environment. Planting projects in the following categories will be eligible: Trees, Shrubs and woodland management; biodiversity; strategy; social and community; residential; education; recreation and health and landscape, economic and pollution.

Neighbourhood Renewal Fund
Aims to enable England's 88 most deprived authorities, in collaboration with their Local Strategic Partnerships to improve services, narrowing the gap between deprived areas and the rest of the country. Further information is available from the local authority's Neighbourhood Renewal team.

Western Riverside Environmental Fund
Landfill tax credit scheme. Applications are invited from projects that work with local communities to promote environmental improvements and sustainable waste management in the four boroughs. Grants are usually offered in the range of £5,000 - £25,000 with flexibility to approve higher amounts in exceptional circumstances.
