This seminar is to follow up the initial work of the Neighbourhoods Green project (funded by the Housing Corporation), to test the viability of the Green Flag award www.greenflagaward.org.uk on the spaces owned and managed by social landlords. This conference will identify some of the core problems and key constraints that prevent social landlords from transforming their open spaces from liabilities into treasured community assets. It will look at the initial work of the Neighbourhoods Green project in analysing some of the areas of concern and where innovative solutions to these are being trialled.'Making neighbourhoods green' is aimed at housing and neighbourhood managers, resident liaison officers, community regeneration officers, playworkers, green space managers, and others working in social housing.
